Welcome to American Water Damage Restoration (“AWDR,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to the following Terms of Service.
1. Services Provided
American Water Damage Restoration provides professional restoration services including, but not limited to:

Water damage mitigation

Structural drying
-
Fire and smoke damage restoration

Mold remediation
-
Sewage cleanup
-
Emergency board-up and stabilization
-
Reconstruction and repairs
All services are performed in accordance with applicable industry standards, including IICRC guidelines where applicable, and Washington State regulations.
2. Emergency Services & Authorization
By requesting emergency services, you authorize AWDR to:

Enter the property
-
Perform necessary emergency mitigation
-
Take reasonable steps to prevent further damage
-
Install equipment required for drying and stabilization
Emergency services may begin immediately upon verbal or written authorization.
3. Estimates & Scope of Work
Estimates provided are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection. Hidden damage may be discovered during the course of work. If additional work is required:

A revised scope will be provided.

Customer approval will be obtained before proceeding (unless emergency conditions require immediate action to prevent further damage).
Estimates are not guarantees of insurance coverage.
4. Insurance Claims
If the project involves an insurance claim:

AWDR may communicate directly with the insurance carrier as a courtesy.
-
The property owner remains financially responsible for all services rendered.

Insurance approval does not relieve the customer of payment obligations.
-
Any deductible, depreciation, or non-covered portion is the customer’s responsibility.
We do not guarantee insurance payment amounts or timelines.
5. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in your signed service agreement. Unless otherwise stated:

Payment is due upon receipt of invoice.

Interest may accrue on unpaid balances as permitted under Washington law.

Customer is responsible for collection costs, including attorney’s fees, if applicable.
For reconstruction projects, progress payments may be required.
6. Equipment Usage
During mitigation services:

Drying equipment must remain operational.
-
The customer agrees not to move, unplug, or tamper with equipment.
-
Electrical usage costs are the responsibility of the property owner.
Premature removal or interference may compromise results and void drying verification.
7. Access to Property
Customer agrees to:

Provide safe and reasonable access to the property.
-
Remove pets and personal belongings as necessary.
-
Disclose known hazards (asbestos, lead, structural instability, etc.).
AWDR reserves the right to suspend work if unsafe conditions are present.
8. Environmental & Hazardous Conditions
If hazardous materials (including asbestos, lead-based paint, or other regulated materials) are suspected:

Work may pause pending proper testing.

Specialized remediation services may be required.
-
Additional charges may apply.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Washington law:

AWDR is not responsible for pre-existing damage.
-
AWDR is not liable for delays caused by third parties, insurance carriers, or material shortages.

Liability is limited to the value of services provided.
We do not guarantee complete removal of all staining or odor unless specifically contracted.
10. Cancellation
Customers may cancel services in accordance with Washington State consumer protection laws. Work already performed remains payable.
Emergency mitigation work initiated cannot be “undone,” and charges incurred prior to cancellation remain due.
11. Warranties
Reconstruction work may carry a limited workmanship warranty as specified in your contract.
Mitigation services are intended to restore materials to industry drying standards but do not guarantee prevention of future unrelated losses.
12. Website Use
By using our website, you agree not to:

Use content for unlawful purposes

Copy or reproduce materials without permission

Attempt to disrupt website functionality

13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Washington State.
